1. No need to force yourself to practice everyday. Skipping a day is no big deal. 2. In the days when I was playing the piano seriously, sometimes I force myself to stop practising for a day or two to get inspiration. Only when I was away from the sound and the practice rountine that my subsconcious could work on the music. 3. Some professional pianists suggest stop for even longer period, like stop for a week in every 6 months. 4. Getting close to nature is a very important source of inspiration.
Ruth, when I skip one day, I will skip for another day which had happened before, so it is better don't let it stop at my level. You know what, I dropped piano for a very very long time and I have just been picked it up for about 2 years, so I am doing my best now.
